Monday, February 4, 2013 at 04:07PM One of my favorite paintings has no figure. It has no face, no landscape, no animal, not even symmetrical shapes.....The painting is all black......Or so I thought.....At a closer look I began to see greys....reds.....even white hues coming through the under-painting....There was a lot going on.....Brokeback is a lot like the painting. Subtle, no lyrics, ambient.....but a lot going on. The songs tell stories.....odd stories....eerie stories.......A side project of Tortoise and Eleventh Dream Day (two of Chicago's finest).....post-rock/western themes/ambient/eerie/cool:
