Ducktails "The Flower Lane" - 2013 LP
Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:01PM I met a hooker in Thailand. Yeah, well, that's easy to do....but she was different. We had great conversation about music, art, and travel. We drank Singha's and strolled the beach. At the end of the night I made my move. We touched lips and our bodies embraced under the gold moon. I started to feel something strange on my thigh...I looked down....This fucking chick has a boner....hahahahahah...The moral of that fable is: Things aren't always what they seem kids....Ducktails makes weird hazy/fuzzed-out/chillwave music right? Well not anymore....The Flower Lane takes Ducktails in an entirely different direction.....Matt Mondanile of Real Estate brings it on this one...a very hard album to categorize....And no...I never saw shim again:
