Thee Oh Sees "Floating Coffin" - 2013 LP

Before Thee Oh Sees show we had to make a pit stop.   "Joe" got back in the car with a shit eatin' grin....and there goes any hope I had at a relaxing Sunday night rock show....As we push and weave our way to the front of the El Rey Theatre we find the spot.  An area just spacious enough for two large buffoons with eyeballs like shirt buttons and jaws grinding like stroke victims.  We try to make normal conversation until the show starts but we're tweaked.  The skinny hipsters around us are beginning to smell blood.  They fill in all empty space throughout the theater making every shoulder shrug like a V.  The girl in front of me is covered in safety pins.  The guy to my right has giant loops in his ear.  The curtains open and Thee Oh Sees start right up.  The place erupts.  Total chaos.  I lose my friend.  I spill my beer.  At first a huge wave of paranoia washes over me......Then I talk myself off that ledge and just go with it......Simply one of the best live bands I've ever seen.  At the end of the show Joe and I meet back up laughing like lunatics and high five our way to the next bar.

Thee Oh Sees are the real deal punk/garage/grunge/rock/authentic/pioneers....get hip to 'em neow:

Crocodiles "Endless Flowers" - 2012 LP

Did your friend just buy skinny jeans and a scarf?.....Did he dye his hair black and get a ducktail?.....Does he constantly bring up the Smiths and drink espressos?...Is your friend homo?  No, your friend has turned 'emo'....It is very similar to homo but involves way more buttplay.....Really, the Crocodiles first got my attention back in 2009 with their single "I Wanna Kill" (such a rad song)....These young San Diego natives rock.....They play their emo/indie/wall'oSound/Cure influenced.....with an edge.......it's badace and makes me wanna buy pointy shoes and drive a scooter.......gf
