    Doug Tuttle (self-titled) - 2014 LP

A great piece of art has a controlled spontaneity.  A "controlled spontaneity?"  Well that's counter intuitive.  John Graham writes about a non-absolute happening erupting from the subconscious in "Systems of Dialectics of Art."  The moment.  The "wow".  A great work of art captures the wow throughout its entirety.  There is no difference in the capture between painting, music, writing, dancing,...whatever.  All forms of art and all artists strive for the moment and like facing a beehive deadpan....it's difficult. Doug Tuttle has captured the spectacular.  For right under 40 minutes Tuttle transports the listener, drops their jaw, melts their face, and lets you have a glimpse into the pscyhe of an artist creating effortlessly.  One of the best albums you will hear this year:
