Raymond Byron and the White Freighter "Little Death Shaker" - 2012 LP
The first muscle car I ever saw in person was a 1971 Mustang Boss (that video is hilarious) (dude, you've filmed the engine long enough).....I remember getting shivers....My He-man undies scrunched up a little....my upper lip curled....It was too much badass to be in front of at such a young age....Part scared, part mesmerized....It put a dagger in my brain.....Raymond Byron first got my attention under his initial moniker Castanets....Just listen to this effing track.....Unreal.....Now Castanets has shed his alias and put out art under his own name...."Little Death Shaker" is deprived of gimmicks....The album is as soulful and Americana as a '71 Boss.....15 tracks of flawless/country fried rock/American rock/sound of the heartland/real deal.......and yes.....I'm still wearing He-man undies and after one listen of this album.....i wet them......again:
