A good wave can take you in new directions. After weeks of listening to a bunch of well respected 'indie bands' new albums.....I was numb....They all started to sound the same. My art suffered. For the first time ever I didn't 'feel' like painting. So I did what I always do. Grow a beard and get drunk for a week. Then.....like a swift kick in the nuts.....an ice water bath.....Hookworms snapped me out of it.....The rush was back. The excitement of new creativity. The accomplishment of finished projects.....I shaved, ate kale, did sit-ups, and got some goddamn sun on my face. Thank you Hookworms.
