The Antlers "Undersea" - 2012 EP

I couldn't sleep last night.....Right as I started to close my eyes a creative rush of 100 paintings crossed my mind....More projects.....more ideas.....more endless work.  After sketching the best of the visions I shut my eyes around 4am.....It was a plunge.....A jump off the high dive into the deep end.....One of the Roosevelt's said "Only boring people talk about their dreams."  Well I kind of agree but hell every now and then it's fun.....I twisted at the bottom of the ocean....A chocolate submarine passed by.....A Dolphin carried me through a tunnel and yes I was left standing in front of a classroom naked...The Antlers "Undersea" was probably not a good idea to throw on the turntable....I still cannot tell if I am awake....Am I still dreaming?.....The Antlers 2012 EP is a solid blissed-out/Pink Floyd drug induced/chill out/rock EP.....soooooooo good......Now if I could just get this giant snake to quit following me........

Why does this keep happening to me? For the past 2 weeks I've been putting on the headphones.....and each time the sounds coming through the speakers cannot be from 2012...There is just no way retro-musack is getting soooooo good.....Is it really 1972?....1968?....Ya'll be messin' with me?.....Monophonics just cannot be from 2012....This album is sick....and FUNKY.....After the first listen I told my girlfriend she owes me money.....She doesn't...but she does neow....and i best get paid.....retro/funk/San Francisco/soul/filthy guitar work/soulful lyrics.....goddamn child get in my six Fo chevy and let's ride woman:

Remember the end of Back to the Future???....That black dude calls his cousin 'Chuck'...."You know that new sOUnd you've been looking for....???"...Waylon Thornton makes me feel like that....I wanna call everyone I know and tell them how rad this band is....There is NO WAY they are from 2012.....No way they are a new band.....some of the best new/retro-surf rock/instrumental rock....i've ever hear.....Love how the EP cover is just a creepy gator foot....I wanna drive fast through the desert in a convertible searching for bull skulls with a baggy full of mushrooms....cue upclose scorpion:
