The War on Drugs "Lost In the Dream" - 2014 LP and Real Estate "Atlas" - 2014 LP
Monday, February 24, 2014 at 08:49PM Every morning in the studio I draw. An image glides from mind to hand. If I'm "cloudy" and nothing strikes I grab a magazine and turn to a random page. I've drawn every form, every animal, hell, just about anything you can imagine. Next I move to collage, then painting. Each require a different skillset. Each a different way of thinking. However different they may be there is a relation. I've never posted 2 albums together. The War on Drugs sophomore album "Lost In the Dream" is a sprawling, dreamscape, wall of sound. A frenzied, hollowed, masterpiece of rock. Real Estate's third album "Atlas" is also outstanding. I could make a lot of bad analogies of things that go together (chocolate cake and milk, whiskey with a beer back, herpes and 1 night stands) but i won't.....just try it out:
