Youth Lagoon "Wondrous Bughouse" - 2013 LP

I finally got enough courage to approach Kimberly Van Diepen.  Sophomore year of high school this took weeks.  She batted her eyes, we had shoulder brushes, and the almighty "note".   Today was the day.  I was gonna walk right up to her and.....Well, I didn't know what, but ask her out or something.  So in that super social 5 minutes before class starts I flagged her over to my desk.....But she did something unexpected.  A curveball.  She sat on my lap. Oh shit.  We were face to face.  Now I was flustered.  I turned into chewed up bubblegum. Except in one area. Of course this would happen.  All the blood rushed to my head (yeah that head)....My face turned red.  I started talking about cats....It was bad....So she left, the class started and with clammy palms the teacher calls my name to stand and speak.  It was not a good day and the nickname "Snake Charmer" lasted all year.  Youth Lagoon's Sophomore effort "Wondrous Bughouse" is much more impressive.  The fact that this is only his second album is mind blowing.  Hell, his first album is a masterpiece.  If you've seen pictures of Trevor Powers you might think he was one of those dorky Sophomores like me.....but he was probably bangin' Seniors by his frosh year.
