The SteelDrivers "Hammer Down" - 2013 LP
It's the beginning of a new year. You're drinkin' less, working out, and crushing your new diet. Your new "good guy kick" might be alienating you from a couple fwends....but hey....eff 'em. Your boss is starting to take notice of the new you.....More responsibilities are coming your way and maybe even a raise.......Cut to 3 months you're curled up in a ball, on your couch, sucking your thumb, pounding Gatorades, broke, and watching a Doomsday Preppers Marathon. It's hard to change. The good thing is those moments of walking a straight line will help you live longer....and hey....maybe one year it will stick. Nashville's own, The SteelDrivers had to change. Or maybe they just did SteelDrivers, better....dig?... They lost their singer/songwriter phenom Chris Stapleton (look him up). Well, after working out a few kinks.....they're back......and they are better than ever. Bluegrass/country/rock/southern/at it's finest:

The Dig "Midnight Flowers" - 2012 LP
Whew.....man.....Where to start with this one.....You know....The music industry is effed....I realized this is a dead horse by now.....Something will have to give....Spotify, Grooveshark, or whatever other lame service will not suffice....The selection is just too piss poor....They do not have 'taste makers' worth a crap....So many great bands are not being heard....I've always enjoyed art (painting) because at the end of the day their is a finalized product to sell....With music it's thin air.....it's vapor....that means the only way bands can make a living is by hoping in a van and playing their aces off all over the cOUntry....The Dig are my kind of vapor....It's been awhile since I have heard just plain and simple 'good' music.....That's right....what a novel idea.....There is no glitch-hop or witch rave or chillghey or other disclaimer attached. The Dig just play great rock music. Midnight Flowers is an easy palatable album with a number of great songs....they're rad:
