Of Montreal "Paralytic Stalks" - 2012 LP

Oh no...what's happening??? Why are there bicycle shorts and hair gel in my studio???....I like Of Montreal....Actually, based off this album...I not only like 'em....I think I'm a fan...NOOOOooooo....Well, this Athens, GA flamboyant glam rock group has done it this thyme....Paralytic Stalks is operatic rock masterpiece that the likes of Queen, Rush, Mott the Hoople, and 'ol George Michael would be darn proud to hear......Of Montreal has set the bar high right out the gates of 2012....this album is spectacular:

The Janks "Hands of Time" - 2011 LP

man..... I'm not huge on discussing a new year or making bold changes based on the changing of a number.  No matter how many albums I plow through every year, I always miss a few....Hell, I'm human....and oh boy did I miss this album....Ironically, I even saw these guys live after Eagle Eye Williamson and still missed their 2011 release.  Well, I've been doing a lot of prep for public installations and this album came on in the studio last week.  I rushed over to the iPoop and was pleasantly surprised.  Not only is this album a showcase on "how to make great pop rock"......these boys from LA.....and i love me some LA....If you're not hip to The Janks....do so....it's well worth the time.....Just listen to track "Dead Man" below.....I bet these cats have an exceptional '012....hey now:
