David Phillips in Albums 2013, Christopher Owens, Indie Rock, Lysandre, Monet, Picasso, album as story, beautiful, garden, girls, multi-insturments, romantic, spunge

Anyone who has been to my studio knows there is a community garden outside my doors.  There's a lettuce guy, a pepper lady, a flower girl, and a really really old guy that takes down a fence then puts up the same fence.....over and over.  So, like great painters before me (Monet, Picasso, etc.) I take breaks and stare at the garden.  Like watching a fire, things move....things shift....an ever-present aura of change.  It's a beautiful and romantic thing.  I never take it for granted. Christopher Owens didn't take his time in the amazn indie band Girls, for granted.....He was a sponge and soaked it all up.  Lysandre, Owens first solo album, is a testament, a love story of being in a band.....traveling and finding an audience for your art.  The album, like a garden, is beautiful and romantic........indie rock/multi-instruments/album as story/ballads
